About PLM
PLM (Project Logistics Management) is a web-based software system designed with a simple yet powerful idea in mind . . .
If You Can't Measure It, You Can't Manage It!
PLM allows the general contractor to monitor all resources (subcontractor workers, vendors, visitors) on and off any specific job site. PLM assists in the safety of individuals by tracking who is on the site at any given time.
PLM provides factual data of man hours per trade; this will assist when putting together a cost analysis for the next job. Knowing the factual man hours per trade will insure that all trades have enough man power on site to stay on--or ahead--of schedule.
PLM provides factual data of man hours per trade that are associated with any change order(s) issued.
PLM and Risk Management
PLM provides features and resources for OCIP and CCIP insurance programs.
PLM helps manage workers' compensation costs by tracking actual premium cost for each subcontractor and worker!
PLM Helps Control Losses by:
- Knowing who is on location at any given moment.
- Knowing if an accident actually occured on site!
- Providing access to historical safety data for workers, subcontractors and vendors
- Providing proactive safety inspections!
Tracking Construction Resources
The PLM system utilizes bar-coded ID cards and handheld, wireless scanners to record the entry and exit of all resources on the construction site including subcontractor workers, vendors and visitors.
The scanned data is immediately uploaded to our servers providing the ability to generate custom reports about who is on the job site (as well as who is not).
Reports on workers on site, hours worked, deliveries made and guests received can be accessed from any Internet connected workstation.
PLM is Continuously Evolving
PLM developers are continuously evaluating new technologies to exceed the needs of our clients. We work closely with our customers in developing new features to accomadate a changing work-site environment.
PLM staff are currently evaluating the Motorola MC75 as an enterprise digital assistant to be implemented in the PLM system.
The Motorola M75 offers a array of features including:
Printing ID Badges
The PLM system can also produce high-quality professional bar-coded picture identification cards.
Using a high resolution dye-sublimation printer, id cards can be programmed to faithfully reproduce branding logos and company themes.
The full-color id cards are highly readable and very durable.
